Job Summary

The Maintenance Planner/Scheduler is responsible for coordinating, planning, and optimizing maintenance activities to ensure reliable, efficient, and safe operation of all equipment. This role combines technical knowledge with strong organizational skills to manage preventive maintenance schedules, coordinate resources, oversee spare parts, review maintenance costs, and analyze data to guide maintenance priorities.

The incumbent will support the continued expansion and optimization of the MaintainX CMMS, ensuring accurate data capture and leveraging system insights to improve maintenance planning and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize preventive maintenance (PM) schedules using MaintainX CMMS.
  • Coordinate and schedule corrective, planned maintenance activities to minimize downtime and disruption to operations.
  • Collaborate with maintenance technicians, engineers, and operations teams to ensure work orders are properly scoped, prioritized, and executed.
  • Manage spare parts inventory, ensuring critical components are available when required.
  • Review maintenance invoices and contractor work to ensure accuracy and alignment with work orders.
  • Collect, analyze, and report maintenance data from MaintainX to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Expand and refine CMMS usage, ensuring complete and accurate equipment histories, data entry, and reporting.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by recommending changes to maintenance practices, scheduling processes, and resource allocation.
  • Assist in planning maintenance projects and equipment upgrades, providing technical insights and resource planning support.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies in all maintenance activities.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Diploma, degree, or certification in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or related technical field is preferred.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in maintenance planning, scheduling, or engineering, preferably in industrial, greenhouse, or operational environments.
  • Hands-on technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and automation systems.
  • Experience using a CMMS system (experience with MaintainX is a strong asset).
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience using data to guide maintenance strategies and resource allocation.
  • Knowledge of spare parts management, vendor coordination, and inventory control.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with preventive maintenance best practices, reliability-centered maintenance, or total productive maintenance concepts.
  • Experience contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Base salary range: $52,500 – $87,500 per year, commensurate with experience.
